This incredible facility is a beacon of hope and love to some of the most challenged children in the world. Because of cultural and religious mindsets that are prevelent in rural India many times handicapped children are seen as a curse by the family and are often abandoned or left to fend for themselves. Pastor Timothy Sathilurri and his daughter Grace, our local partners, have been rescuing these desperate children for many years and giving them a safe comfortable place to live and flourish.
New Hope Initiative has come alongside Pastor Timothy as the principle sponsor of this effort. Our goal is to build together not only a larger facility to help more desperate children, but also a more effective home to meet the crushing needs of these precious children. The children's problems are quite varied from those who are hearing impaired to those who are almost totally incapacitated both mentally and physically. It is a very challenging work for our effective local staff as well as a great motivation for our NHI partners at the Applewood Baptist Church of Denver, CO and Sagemont Church of Houston, TX. Our children in India face daunting challenges however because you care they have a hope for today and a promise for tomorrow.
